Known as the “Father of Black History,” Carter G. Woodson once said, “those who have no record of what their forebears have accomplished lose the inspiration which comes from the teaching of biography and history.”

Like Woodson, Black Culture Nerd is committed to empowering individuals through the exploration of black history, arts, and culture.

While entire libraries and organizations are devoted to documenting black history, Black Culture Nerd seeks to put history directly in the hands of today’s consumer through socially conscious apparel and accessories.

Recognizing the road to enlightenment has its barriers, Black Culture Nerd is also committed to helping increase and encourage literacy amongst individuals and families.

The Black Culture Nerd Book Collection currently gives away one free book each month and is working towards donating books to schools for K-12 classroom projects.
